How the UKPPL Works
Every week the UKPPL holds a series of tournament events on 888Poker. Every Thursday starting on August 12th there are two small events hosted on 888Poker. One is a $100 freeroll event that is a prelude to a micro $0.50+$0.05 ($100 Added) buy-in tournament that starts shortly after the first one. These are merely warm-up events for the big events that start on Saturday August 14th.
The UKPPL has two divisions to play in. Division 2 tournaments are every Saturday and are freeroll tournaments with 1st place offering up a free seat into the Division I tournament that takes place the next day (Sunday) and has a buy-in of $5+$0.50. During each Division I game points will be awarded, on top of all the sweet cash and other prizes up for grabs.
As players continue to earn points over all 15 UKPPL Division I events the top 30% of players in points at the end of all 15 league events will gain entry into the UKPPL Playoffs. The Semi-Final (buy-in $5+$0.50) is set to take place November 28th and the top 50% of those players will move onto the Grand UKPPL Final on December 12th where the winner of that tournament will be crowned UKPPL season 1 champion.
